The Discipline and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Football federation rejected the Al-wehda club’s protest over the illegality of the participation of Brazilian team player Anderson Talesca during the confrontation won by the capital team “3-1” in the 13th round of the Saudi Roshn League.
The texts of the decision according to the official website of the Saudi Football Federation stated that the protest was accepted in form and objectively rejected, with the possibility of appealing the decision in accordance with article 144 of the Regulation of Discipline and Ethics.
Al-wehda Club protest came against the backdrop of Talesca’s suspension of two matches, including automatic suspension under the direct red card in all official matches he is entitled to participate in following his expulsion by red card during the confrontation of the Al-ettifaq in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup.
Al-Nassr relied on the Brazilian player’s failure to implement the Disciplinary Commission’s decision to suspend him for two games.
Prior to her, Al-Nassr had asked the Saudi Football Federation about the two matches during which Talesca carried out the punishment, as the Disciplinary Committee’s decision did not specify at the time the two games the player stood; According to the Federation’s reply, after the victory into the quarter-finals of the king cup, he will miss out to the Al-shabab in the competition itself; In accordance with article 3/17 of the Regulations on Discipline and Ethics, in addition to suspending one official match as disciplinary punishment issued by the Committee’s Decision No. 111/LZ/2023.
Talesca benefited from his suspension under disciplinary punishment during the Al-khaleej periodic encounter in the 12th round of the league.
Further to the foregoing; Talesca’s participation in the protest match was validated by the Disciplinary Committee.
It should be noted that the Committee has also confirmed the legality of Talesca participation in the past Victory and Al-wehda match in the Saudi Roshn League for three reasons, namely:
Talesca received a red card in front of the Al-ettifaq at the price of the final of the Custodian’ Cup of the Two Holy Mosques, and must therefore be suspended for two matches.
The first match in which Talesca was already suspended based on the timing of the punishment was against the al-khaleej in the Saudi League.
Al-Nassr has already qualified for the quarter-finals, and therefore the player will be automatically suspended in the next match against Al-shabab in the same tournament, which will be the second match in which Talesca will be punished, so his participation against Al-wehda
