Several press reports have recently emerged indicating that Turkish club Galatasaray are in negotiations with the management of saudi Al-Nasr Club for Ivorian player Seko Fofana.
The Galatasaray team’s media officer said they had not reached out to Al-Nasr in order to win the services of Ivorian first team soccer of Al-nasr player Sekou Fofana in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Galatasaray knows nothing about this and has not reached out to Al-nasr officials or those close to the player for inclusion. “
The Turkish media official stressed that it was difficult to talk about a player who had a continuing contract with his club.
Turkish press reports confirmed earlier last month that Galatasaray wished to sign the Ivorian midfielder, noting that his compatriot Wilfried Zaha played a major role in negotiations to persuade Fofana, joining him in the ranks of Galatah, during the upcoming winter Mercato.
Fofana joined al-nasr in 13 matches in the AFC Champions League, 10 games in the saudi Roshen Professional League and two games in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, and managed to score a single goal in the king cup.
Fofana joined Al-nasr last May 18 from French club Lance with a contract extending until 2026.
