The President of the General Entertainment Authority, Consultant Turki Al-Sheikh, ensured the holding of the retirement ceremony of one of the legends of the Saudi al-hilal and Ball Club.

In a video via his official social media account X (previously Twitter), former al-hilal star Mohammed al-Shalhoub revealed Turki al-Sheikh’s agreement to hold his retirement ceremony.

This came on the sidelines of the American al-hilal and Inter Miami match decided by the leader (4-3) on Monday night, at the start of the Riyadh Season Cup, which coincided with the opening of the new Blue Stadium “Kingdom Arena.”

Al-Shalhoub, who is currently the assistant coach of the al-hilal technical staff, commented on the video: “An unsurprising tribute, honoured by His Excellency Mr. Turki Al-Sheikh after his assurance of a retirement ceremony”.

He explained: “Thanks to His Excellency for his constant support, which comes as an extension of the interest and patronage of the sports sector from the wise leadership – the patronage of God -.”

Mohammed al-Shalhoub announced his retirement in September 2020, a few days after Al-Hilal was crowned the Saudi League title for the 16th time in its history, after a triumphant march in which he signed on to many achievements.

This is the 33rd title Al-Shalahoub has achieved with Al-Hilal Club, the most notable achievement of which was winning the AFC Club Championship Champions 2000 and AFC Champions League 2019.
