Al-Nasr ‘s Saudi team farewell to the Asian Champions League and lost the opportunity to seek their dream of playing in the 2025 Club World Cup, after losing to the Emirati al- ain by penalties after a thrilling draw between them in the original and additional runs with a score of 4-4.

Al-Nasr did not succeed in making joy to salute his fans, who rallied in the flanks of Al-Awl Park Stadium, and bid farewell to the Continental Championship a few days after missing the chance to compete for the Saudi Professional League title after the points gap widened with leader Al-Hilal to 12 points.

The al-nasr did not complete the historical features of the Rimontada, which were on track to be verified after a four-way record gave him the lead against the second leg, with both teams sealing penalties that turned their back on the victory.

al-nasr missed three penalties through Brozevich, Thelis and Otavio, while Ronaldo scored the only goal in the shootout, against three kicks scored by the Emirati Eye.

Al-Ain succeeded in taking the lead before halftime through his player, Sofiane Rahimi, who hit al-nasr’s defences and broke the offside trap to face Nasraoui goalkeeper Raghad al-Najjar and park the ball in the net, deciding to declare an offside before returning to the VAR consultation and deciding whether the goal was correct and calculated.

In the first minute of the stoppage time for the first half, Morocco’s Rahimi repeated his visit to the nets, making matters more difficult for the victory team, which needed three goals as a result of losing the first leg with a single goal.

From a mistake by goalkeeper Khaled Issa, Al-Nasr’s Sadio Mane converted the ball towards Abdul Rahman Gharib, who was facing his goalkeeper-free goal, and succeeded in reducing the deficit before halftime.

Al-Nasr began the second half, desperate to attack and sought to reduce the gap quickly. This was achieved after a shot by Ottavio of Portugal around which the eye goalkeeper Khaled Issa accidentally slotted into his own net to seal victory’s equaliser with the 52nd minute.

Al-Asimi rebounded and did not calm down and launched a major attack amid the Eye team’s retreat towards defence and its absence of attack, and victory nearly snatched the lead more than once and missed balls through Ronaldo and Mane.

The match turned to tightness and pressure between the players, and Brazilian Alex Tillis struck the goal of advancing to victory in the match and equalizing inTotal two games with the 72nd minute after a powerful shot set up Khaled Issa’s net.

The confrontation then seized on the extra runs, and the problem of victory was exacerbated by the repeated injuries of Abdul Ilah Al-Omari, Abdel-Rahman, Mohamed Al-Fattel and their departure from the stadium.

Ayman Yahya added to the suffering of victory after receiving a red card in the 98 minute of the first extra half, in a shot with which Omani referee Ahmed Alkaf returned to VAR, reversed the yellow card decision and awarded the player a red card to complete the match with 10 players.
Substitute Sultan Al Shamsi succeeded in returning the Al Ain team to the lead again, taking advantage of a mistake by goalkeeper Raghad Al Najjar, to pursue the ball and park it inside the net as a third goal in the match and fourth on aggregate.

The luck was not accompanied by Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, who was in a solitary position in front of the eye, but his shot was easy and was blocked by Khaled Issa the first time and then the second amid great heartbreak from the Victory captain.

Before the referee blows the final whistle, Ronaldo gets a penalty in the 116th minute that brilliantly leads her corner into the net as a fourth goal that makes the clash heading for penalties.
