The first football team of Al-taawoun Club has won an important win, at the expense of Al-shabab, in the 15th round, of the age of the Saudi League Championship. “
Al-taawoun was late with a goal scored by Carrasco from the penalty mark, but thanks to Joao Pedro, he managed to turn the scales of the meeting.
Joao Pedro, a team transfer from the UAE Unit, signed the two objectives of cooperation in the 55 and 62 minutes, respectively.

Pedro made 10 appearances during the Saudi League competition “counting the meeting of the day”, scoring 7 goals, and did not provide any assists.
With that result, Al-taawoun reached point 28, finishing fifth, while Al-shabab march stopped at point 16, finishing 12th.
Pedro scored at the “55 and 62” minutes, turning the tables on Al-shabab who finished the first half in his favour with a goal through the Belgian Yannick Carrasco from the penalty spot in the “33” minute.
Through this win, Diri al-Qassim made up for the past five rounds “3 draws and two losses”, raising his tally to 28 points in fifth place.
The team also maintained its exemplary record against Al-shabab for the fourth consecutive league game, with its last loss from the Capitalist side dating back to 27 December 2021. The result of the 1-3 was within the first round of the league for the 2021-2022 season, after which the two teams played 4 games in which the team won two games, drawing twice.
On the other hand, youth were unable to win the third successive “two losses and a draw”, freezing their balance at 16 points and dropping to 12th.
Al-shabab hosts al-taawoun Thursday, and Al Fayha faces off on Friday in the 16th round of the league.
