Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo has continued his own record-breaking hobby since reaching the ranks of Saudi al-nasr in 2022, clinching the title of top scorer in Saudi League history in just one edition with 35 goals.
The 39-year-old “Madeira rocket” had 33 goals up his sleeve before participating with Al-Nasr in the final meeting against the al-itthad in the Saudi League, leading the world to a big 4-2 win, taking his top scorer to 35 goals, and surpassing Morocco’s record-holder Abdelrazak Hamdallah in this side, who scored 34 goals in the 2018-2019 season.
The veteran Portuguese star appeared to be very happy with this record, although al-nasr failed to achieve the titles this season, only finishing the Saudi League in second place with 82 points, 14 behind the title-capped al-hilal.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s record comment
Ronaldo was keen to post a special tweet, commenting on his new record in the Saudi Roshen League as the top scorer in the competition’s history during a single edition.
Cristiano Ronaldo said on his official account in the X-platform “Twitter previously”: “I don’t go after the records, it’s the records that go after me.”
The Portuguese legend concluded his tweet by attaching the flag of Saudi Arabia, a clear reference to his great comfort in playing within the Kingdom, which denies any rumours of his desire to leave during the upcoming summer Mercato.
The five-time World Player of the Year, whose team-mates set up an honorary passage after his achievement at First Park Stadium, continued: “Very happy, first to finish the season with a win, and then to set a league record I wasn’t waiting for. This is important in my career “
Cup clash against al-hilal
“Don”, who sealed the title of top scorer of the league, 7 goals behind Crescent striker Aleksandar Mitrovic of Serbia, touched on the upcoming match in Friday’s cup final with rivals Crescent, specifically by saying: “The most important is the team. We’re doing well. the next goal is to win the Copa del Rey “.
Since joining on a fantasy deal in January 2023, Ronaldo won the Champions Club Arab Cup title in August 2023 at the expense of the 2-1 crescent after the extension.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the most contested and scored in international matches with 128 goals in 206 matches, will carry the colours of Portugal in the European Cup next month in Germany after being selected as part of his country’s squad to the 2016 title, making it into the 11th major tournament of his prestigious career.
