Roberto Firmino, a Saudi Arabian ahli Jeddah player, confirmed his continuation in the team, following newspaper allegations that the Brazilian striker had left the club’s fences during the upcoming winter transfer market.
Firmino, who is tied to a contract with the ahli Jeddah Club until 2026, has recently experienced bad moments, failing to find the net in several games, to miss the team’s starting formation.
Roberto Firmino participated in a match between Ahli Jeddah and al-khaleej counterpart as a substitute player on Friday, entering the pitch in the 68th minute of the game.
After the final whistle with Firmino’s comrades winning a goal, the Brazilian striker told Saudi Arabia’s SSC channel: “Naturally, I have a contract with the team, happy with the team and focused on survival, it’s not good to sit on the bench but I will struggle and fight for a return.”
He added: “I started the season well, but then I wasn’t in the form, I need minutes to come back but I will fight to be at the top ready, thank the public for their support, and after the international break the fans will see my best version.”
He continued: “The team must complete the same approach, by not losing on our soil, and continue to win.”
Roberto Firmino has 3 goals and two assists with Ahli Jeddah in the various competitions of the current season, having played 19 games, mostly as a substitute.
