Users of the X platform (previously Twitter) circulated footage showing what Matthias Yessele, the technical director of Al-Ahli Club, did with the ball holder during the team’s match with his counterpart on Friday night.

The footage showed Al-Ahli’s coach keeping the ball on the field line and refusing to give it to the holder, before a match referee spoke to him and demanded that he give it to the holder of the balls, for the latter to get it.

Matthias Yasselah (35 years old) led Al-Ahli Club to draw with the hosts of the al-ettifaq with two goals like them, in the competition of the 25th round of the Saudi Roshin League.

Al-Ahli Club, under the supervision of Matthias Yesselah, is third on the competition club ranking ladder this season 2024/2023, with 48 points, 20 points behind the leader, Al Hilal Club
German manager Matthias Yessele confirmed that the scenario of his team’s game against the al-ettifaq was a surprise to him.

he added “Absences have affected us negatively, whether do injuries or suspensions, but we have done our best and come up with a point for agreement.”
He continued: “We conceded the two goals because we lost focus, the goals come because of mistakes, and yet we did a good game.”
Yassele concluded his remarks by saying: “The Persian Persian is returning from engagement with the team, he was not at full capacity, so I preferred to pump new blood into the team, and indeed we managed to draw and we were close to winning.”
