The club added: “This step is in the interest of the Department to build bridges of communication with the public and the media, believing in the role of the media in disseminating information, promoting public awareness and providing it with information documented from its official source.”
In December, al-ahli of Jeddah’s announced Gurley as the club’s chief executive, but the English official officially began his work last month.
Gurley will order the club’s official signatures, whether in sponsorships or contract renewals and negotiation with foreign and domestic players, with the final decision at the technical level in the hands of the German coach, Matthias Yassele
Ahli Jeddah is third in the Saudi Professional League table, with 34 points, 16 points ahead of the leaders Crescent, who played more.
