Ali al-Balehi apologized to the fans of his club al-Hilal, after scoring an own goal during the Riyadh match, which ended with his team winning (1-3), on Friday 8 March, in the 23rd round of the Saudi Roshen League for the 2023-24 season.
In his remarks following the end of the meeting, the Saudi international confirmed that Hilal has so far achieved nothing, despite reaching 27 consecutive victories across all competitions.

After 9 minutes, Brazilian Michel Delgado managed the second goal of a header, and at 90 + 3 minutes, Serbia’s Aleksandar Mitrovic scored the third goal from a third penalty, which was awarded in the meeting.
The match saw the Hilali team miss a penalty shot by Mitrovic at 45 + 7 minutes, which was brilliantly blocked by Riyadh’s keeper, Uruguayan Martin Campania.
