On Saturday evening, the al-itthad of Jeddah club officially announced the signing of a new goalkeeper to strengthen their ranks during the 2024-2025 sports season.
The club said on its social media account X that it had signed young goalkeeper Hamid Al Shanqiti after entering the free period of his contract with the youth club.
The al-itthad Cl ub indicated that it had contracted with Al Shinqiti, a professional contract spanning five seasons in a free transfer.

The 18-year-old is a rising name, especially after participating with the Olympic team in the Asian Under-23 Cup finals.
Ramon Blanis, sporting director of the federation, and his team are working to explore the talent of young players inside and outside Saudi Arabia, within a clear and long-term strategy of the al-itthad Jeddah .
The al-itthad had dispensed with the end of the past season with Brazilian goalkeeper Marcelo Grohi, while its roster included Saudi veteran goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Ma ‘iouf.
