benzema-and-secret-of-low-level-with-al-itthad

France’s Karim Benzema is not living his best time in football fields these days, as his level with the Saudi al-itthad has recently declined.

Benzema saw his team fall to the Jeddah Derby for an unanswered goal last Monday, after participating in the full match in the 26th round of the Saudi League.

The game was preceded by the 36-year-old’s participation in the al-itthad’s 3-1 win over Al-Fayha, setting up a goal, but again missing a penalty.
Benzema has not been able to break his fasting in a few months to remain in the Saudi stadiums he received last summer after joining the al-itthad.

Benzema moved to Dean in a free transfer after deciding to end his trip with Real Madrid in June 2023.

The Spectre of the Failed Deal
Benzema joined the al-itthad and the team holds the Saudi League title, which was crowned last season under Portuguese coach Nuno Santo.

Despite the club’s outstanding deals this season, notably Benzema, the team was unable to emerge at a similar level, falling to fourth place on 46 points.
Interestingly, Benzema, crowned the Ballon d’Or in 2022, has not been able to score a goal in the Saudi League since November 30.
Benzema scored his last goal in the Roshin League during the Federation’s 4-2 victory over the Gulf, after which he failed to catch the net in the competition.

Overall, Benzema’s last goals in the various tournaments date back to mid-December, when he shook the Egyptian National Club Cup second round loss 1-3.
