Press reports revealed the possibility of Egyptian Ahmed Hijazi, captain of the al-itthad of Jeddah, moving to the ranks of Neom, a rookie to the “Yellow” top flight.
The newspaper Akaz reported on Sunday that Hegazi would move to Neom on a one-season contract, with the preference of renewal for another season.

However, Al-Maidan also noted that two months ago Neom had reached out to Hijazi to explore the possibility of including him, while the defender did not settle his final decision, especially that he had not received confirmation that his club had dispensed with him.
Hijazi is on holiday in Cairo and will return to Jeddah in the coming days to attend the brigadier’s camp in preparation for the new season.

Ahmed Hijazi also owns Egyptian oral performances, most notably from his former club Al Ahli, as well as Pyramids.

Hijazi did not start last season with the Etihad because of the qualifying period after the knee cruciate ligament injury, while he joined the team’s roster last January.

The 33-year-old Egyptian defender has made 21 appearances in all tournaments with the Jeddah Federation.
With the Jeddah Federation, Hijazi won the Saudi League title last season and the Saudi Super title.
