According to press reports, al-itthad of Jeddah coach Marcelo Jayardo settled on ousting goalkeeper Marcelo Grohi during the winter transfer window.
The Middle East newspaper reported that Jayardo asked the administration to dispense with Grohi, but that he relied on Abdullah Al-Ma ‘iouf as a keeper in all tournaments.
Jayardo did not request the inclusion of a foreign guard in the winter mercato, but would merely sign a local guard to be a substitute for the identifier.
Jayardo aims to provide a foreign seat in the team’s AFC Champions League games, where he participates in each match 5 foreign players, as well as a player with Asian nationality.
The “Middle East” noted that the AFC Champions League title is the primary goal of the al-itthad of jeddah this season, after moving away from the top-flight clash in the Saudi Professional roshen League.
In the same vein, Jayardo asked the dean’s management to sign a distinguished Asian player, provided the manager is convinced of his abilities, so as to support the team roster in Champions League games.
