Saudi club Neom announced the signing of Brazilian star Romarinho for two seasons, after a 5-year bus career with former club Etihad.

The Neom Club posted a welcome video of the player, considered the club’s first foreign deals during the 2024 summer transfer window, writing a tweet that read: “Hello, hello, hello, welcome to Gali.”

During the upcoming season, NEOM will play in the Saudi top-flight league “Yello League”, aiming to conclude heavy-calibre deals this summer, helping it rise in the future to the Saudi Professional League “Roshin League.”
Romarinho (33) had left the Etihad by the end of the 2023-24 season, knowing that the player had come to the club in 2018, coming from the Emirati island for 7 million euros, and is one of the most prominent foreign stars in the history of the Tigers.

Romarinho’s career with the Federation
During his career with Etihad Club, Romarinho made 214 appearances in various competitions, scoring 95 goals, giving 30 assists, based on Transfair Market data, and was crowned the Saudi League and Saudi Super Cup titles last season.

The player is ranked fourth most scoring foreign professional in the history of the Saudi Professional League, with 76 goals, after Syria’s Omar al-Sumah (144), Morocco’s Abdel Razak Hamdallah (129) and France’s Baftembe Gomez (81).

Romarinho contributed to his team’s 100 goals in the Saudi Roshen League Championship, becoming the team’s most contributing player in scoring goals in the competition, outscoring Fahad El Mold, who has 95 threatening contributions (58 scores and 37 assists).

Romarinho’s last season was not as hoped for with the Federation; Al Jadawi failed to secure any title and dropped to fifth place in the Saudi Roshin League ranking table.
