Saudi al-hilal Club decided to return its star Neymar Junior to Brazil again to continue its recovery program from cruciate ligament injury.
Neymar has been in Riyadh for almost a week and returned to Crescent from Brazil, where he had a rehabilitation program in his hometown to recover from the infection.
It appears that the Brazilian will not continue with the rehabilitation programme in Saudi Arabia, where the club revealed in an official statement that its 32-year-old star will continue to recover from the injury in Brazil.
“Neymar Junior is leaving for Brazil to complete his treatment and rehabilitation program, under the supervision and follow-up of the medical organs of the al-hilal and the Brazil team, and to return to Riyadh early in April,” the leader said in a tweet via his official account at the social media platform “X”.
The former Barcelona player has not been involved in the leader’s matches for a long time, specifically since he suffered a severe cruciate ligament injury and knee meniscus during his involvement with Brazil in a clash against Uruguay in the 2026 World Cup qualifier.

After recovering from the injury, Neymar’s first participation was against Riyadh, setting up two goals in a clash that ended (6-1) for the leader, before taking part against both damac, al-shabab and Navbakhur along with Nsaji Mazandaran, the latter netting his only goal so far with Al-Hilal as the Brazilian star had played in 5 games and scored one goal and provided 3 assists.
Neymar is linked to a contract with Al-Hilal that runs until the summer of 2025, but press reports have previously said that the player wants to stay for at least an additional season, after not participating in the first season with the leader.
Al-Hilal is at the top of the Saudi Roshen League table, with a balance of 62 points, nine points clear of his second-ranked chaser Al-Nasr with
