benzema-leads-the-al-itthad-to-the-final-of-the-diriyah-cup

The al-itthad reached the final of the “Saudi Super Diriyah Cup”  by benzema after beating Unity with a double for a goal in the semi-final of the tournament they combined at the “Al Nahyan Stadium” in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.

The al-itthad, the defending champion, won the double of Karim Benzema and Moroccan striker Abdelrazak Hamdallah, scoring the first finalists of the tournament to be held Thursday at the “Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium.”

The al-itthad did not take long to find the nets of unity, with French star Karim Benzema scoring in the second 55 to become his fastest goal in the history of the “Super Saudi” games, in a remarkable return for the star absent from brilliance during recent games.

A few minutes before halftime, the Moroccan Abdelrazak Hamdallah translated a ball from the Brazilian industry of Romarinho into the net of compatriot Munir al-Mohammadi, scoring the Federation’s second goal of the match.
The confrontation appeared to be decided early, but early in the second half the unit launched attacks against the Federation’s net, close to reducing the gap in a shot in which Abdoulaye Al-Ma ‘iouf appeared brilliantly in front of Brazilian shot Anselmo, before which the bar blocked a powerful shot from Godwin.

The Federation then relied on rebounds and appeared close to consolidating its lead in more than one shot, the highlight of Hamdallah’s ball passed to him by Romarinho but became the crossbar for the goal of unity.

The Unit’s team had exceeded the opportunity to reduce the gap after receiving a penalty in the final minute of the original game time, which Faisal Dawn had advanced to, but knocked it away from the al-itthad net.

Hussein Al-Issa, the unit’s player, succeeded in reducing the gap with the seventh minute of injury time, but it seemed late to the Mecki team to adjust the score.

The Etihad team made it to the final of the tournament in a game that saw their player Hamid Al-Ghamdi attend after a long absence due to injury, with coach Gallardo engaging him in the second half, with a view to equipping him further for the final of the tournament.
