Al-Tai

Al-Tai
Al-Tai Club is a Saudi sports club considered one of the historical clubs in Saudi Arabia with a long history in various sports fields, but it is particularly famous in football.

Club Establishment:

Al-Tai was originally established in 1937 when a group of young men from the Teachers' Institute in Ha'il wanted to create their own sports club. Initially, they chose the name "Al-Ahli" and adopted red and black as the team's colors. However, they were later informed that the name "Al-Ahli" was reserved for Al-Ahli Club in Jeddah. Therefore, they changed the name to "Hatim Al-Tai" and adopted yellow and red as new colors. Finally, in 1961, the name was shortened to "Al-Tai " and the colors were changed to gray and white, chosen by Mr. Ahmed Al-Faqih. Since then, the club has retained these colors as its official emblem to this day.

Club Headquarters:

Located in Ha'il, Saudi Arabia, the club plays in the Saudi Professional League, the first division of Saudi football. It was officially established in 1961.

Club Stadium:

Prince Abdul Aziz bin Musa'ed Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Ha'il, Saudi Arabia. It is mainly used for football matches and is the home stadium of Al-Tai. The stadium has a capacity of 12,250 people and is shared with their city rivals, Al-Jabalain, with whom they compete in the Ha'il Derby.

Club Championships:

Al-Tai has won the Saudi First Division three times, first in the 1984-85 season and most recently in the 2000-01 season. They also finished second once in the 1977-78 season. The club was promoted to the Professional League for the first time since 2008 in the 2020-21 season.
