Ohod

Ohod Club is a Saudi Arabian professional football club based in Medina, which competes in the First Division League, the second tier of Saudi football. Ohod was named after Mount Uhud, hence the nickname "Al-Jabal". Ohod has won the Saudi First Division three times and has finished runners-up five times.

Club establishment:

Ohod Club was founded in 1936 AD (1356 AH). Initially, the club's colors were yellow and black. In 1388 AH, the club changed its colors to yellow and brown to differentiate it from Al-Ittihad Club due to their historical rivalry. The team played its first official match with these new colors against Al-Wahda Club in Mecca in 1389 AH.

Ohod Club, a Saudi sports club, has achieved several notable accomplishments over the years. They have won the First Division League title three times and clinched the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Cup for the First Division in 1995 by defeating Al-Ta'ee. Additionally, the club has an impressive record in basketball, securing 42 local and international championships. In 1973, they finished as runners-up in the Western Region Championship, and in 1980, they reached the semi-finals of the King's Cup after defeating Al-Ahli in the quarter-finals. Ohod Club has excelled in karate, winning the Kingdom's championship twice. Furthermore, in 2015, the club's senior football team made history by ascending to the Premier League for the first time, and in 2016, the youth football team achieved a similar milestone, reaching the Premier League for the first time in the club's history.
