Portuguese veteran Cristiano Ronaldo sparked global sympathy and widespread feelings by his fans after the sad end of his sporting season with al-nasr despite his emergence as Saudi League’s top scorer.

Global news agencies and social media reported footage of the Portuguese star shedding tears after the end of his team’s pouting shootout, and Don was seen crying once on the pitch and on the bench.

Ronaldo again failed to earn his first domestic title since joining Al-Nasr, after losing to Al-Hilal on penalties (4-5) in the final of the Saudi Football Cup after the original and additional times ended with a 1-1 draw Friday on the ground of the Radioactive Jewel Stadium. Al-Hilal won for the fifth time over victory in four competitions twice at the league level, ending with Al-Hilal’s back-to-back victory and also sharing the result in the semi-final of the Saudi Super Cup and was sealed for Al-Hilal with two goals before the Riyadh Season Cup meeting in which Al-Hilal won 2-0.
